Basil Thai - Sun/Part Sun – Annual.  Leaves have a spicy anise/clove flavor.  Blossoms lure beneficial insects to the garden.

 

 

Basil Sweet ItalianSun/Part Sun – Annual.  Our most popular herb.  Use all parts of the plant, fresh or dried, for pestos, salads and italian dishes.

 

 

CatnipSun – Perennial.  Tea made from dried leaves is said to aid digestion.  Dried leaves can be sewn into toys for cats or fed as is.

 

 

 

Cilantro santoSun/Part Sun – Annual.  Fast becoming the most popular herb in the U.S..  The foliage is called cilantro, the edible seeds are known as coriander.  Selected strain that is slow to flower.  Upright habit and finely cut leaves.

 

ChivesSun/Part Sun – Perennial.  Mild onion flavor.  Leaves are a key culinary herb.  Finely chop leaves for flavoring meats and vegetables.  Purple globe flowers.

 

 

Dill FernleafSun – Annual.  Dwarf plant with a high leaf yield.  Dark green leaves.  Good to plant in butterfly gardens for caterpillar food.

 

Dill BouquetSun – Annual.  A must for pickling.  Use flower heads in dried bouquets.  Soft green feathery foliage for flavoring fish or salads.

 

 

Fennel SmokeySun/Part Sun – Annual.  An attractive border plant that provides food for the caterpillar of the swallowtail butterflies.  Bronze tinged foliage.  Use leaves in salads.

Mint Kentucky ColonelSun/Part Sun – Perennial.  Our favorite!  Large leaves on a robust plant.  High yield plant is used for mojitos and mint juleps.

 

Mint PeppermintSun/Part Sun – Perennial.  Vibrant green leaves with delicious peppermint scent.  Use as a tea.  Said to help digestion.

 

 

Mint SpearmintSun/Part Sun – Perennial.  Closely set toothed leaves.  Refreshing scent.  Spreads rapidly.  Use for teas, sauces, jellies, sweets and garnishes.

 

 

Oregano GreekSun – Perennial.  The most true oregano flavor.  Grows wild in Greece.  Choice herb for Italian cooking.

Rosemary Tuscan BlueSun – Annual.  A more woody stemmed variety.  Good for use as cooking skewers or decorative wreaths.

 

 

Sage Common - Sun/Part Sun – Perennial.  Scatter in salads.  Use for a light balsamic tea.  Bushy fragrant grayish leaves used fresh or dried.

 

 

Sage PurpleSun/Part Sun – Perennial.  Strong flavored leaves.  Use to make teas for sore throats.  Bluish purple foliage looks good mixed in potted containers or mixed with perennials in flower beds.

 

 

Sage PineappleSun – Tender perennial.  Scarlet flowers in fall are a hummingbird magnet.  Sweet pineapple scent.  Good cut flower.  Does not have much taste for cooking.
